Refresher course SF6 & other arc quenching and insulating gases
A certificate of competence in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases is required for handling sulphur hexafluoride (SF₆) and other arc quenching and insulating gases. The Regulation requires that persons who actively work with SF₆ gas and other arc quenching and insulating gases are certified. Existing certificates remain valid until 12 March 2029, but must be regularly updated through refresher courses. DILO offers an accredited and hands-on refresher training course for this purpose.

The refresher training course is aimed at persons with a valid certificate in accordance with (EU) 517/2014 or (EC) 842/2006. The course is designed as a compact training unit without an exam and fulfils the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases.

The refresher training course can also be carried out online as a theory-only course without an exam, provided the requirements are met. This includes an existing certificate, proof of practical activities in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases in the last two years and proof of identity. Flexible participation from anywhere - without the need to travel and with clearly structured knowledge transfer.
